The 110-Step Venture Studio Playbook

870 person-days of compressed institutional knowledge, sequenced across the 8 operational stages of venture creation.

If venture creation were a craft handed down master-to-apprentice, the master would spend roughly three years next to the apprentice teaching the sequence: which step comes after which, what failure mode each step protects against, what the artefact at the end of each step should look like. Most aspiring founders don’t get that apprenticeship. The 110-step Venture Studio Playbook is what we hand them instead.

1. Why a playbook

Venture creation is a sequenced activity. Skip a step early and you pay for it three steps later, often catastrophically. The most common founder failure mode is not lack of effort; it is operating out of sequence — building MVP before market research, raising before product-market fit, hiring before runway, scaling before unit economics.

The 110-step playbook is the sequenced master craft. It is built from 30 years of operating, 80,000+ classrooms digitised, six years running a $50M+ MEA & CEE business unit at Anthology, and 4,200+ ideas the Simsy AI platform has touched. It is opinionated. It is sequenced. It is executable.

2. The 8 operational stages, mapped to 110 steps

The playbook is organised in 8 operational stages, each mapping to a brand-view bucket (Ideate / Build / Launch / Scale). Steps within each stage are numbered sequentially and produce defined artefacts.

3. How the playbook is sequenced

Each step has four components:

  1. Precondition — what must be true to even start this step. Examples: customer interviews completed (Step 32), runway modelled (Step 51), legal entity registered (Step 62).
  2. Activity — the work itself, with AI-native tooling pre-baked. Examples: BMC generation in Idea Lab (Step 38), MVP build with AI Copilot (Step 51), angel-investor mapping in the Enabler marketplace (Step 88).
  3. Artefact — the document, dashboard, or contract the step produces. Examples: signed BMC (Step 38), MVP demo video (Step 56), signed term sheet (Step 96).
  4. Gate — the AI Copilot + 1:1 mentor sign-off required to advance to the next step. The platform enforces gates — you cannot skip a step.

4. Why no other venture studio publishes a playbook this detailed

Two reasons. First, most venture studios are equity-led — their playbook is a service they sell to one founder at a time, kept proprietary so it can’t be commoditised. Simsy AI is platform-led — we sell the playbook one-to-many. Publishing it widens our moat, doesn’t narrow it.

Second, most playbooks aren’t finished. They’re the slides someone uses internally to coach the next batch of founders, and they evolve weekly. Simsy AI ran a 2-year compression cycle to produce a frozen v1.0 that the GInI Tier-3 InE® auditor signed off on. The playbook is a Cert # 115421204 artefact, not a slide deck.

5. How institutional partners use the playbook

Universities, free zones, corporates, ministries, and foundations buying IGNITE / ACTIVATE / TRANSFORM packages get full access to the 110-step playbook as a white-labelled methodology. They configure it for their target ecosystem — CBSE schools, Free Zone members, intrapreneurs, public-body grantees — and the platform reports KPIs back against Vision 2030 / 2031 or SDG-aligned commitments.

6. Reading the playbook step-by-step

The complete step-by-step playbook is platform-issued — embedded in the Bronze / Silver / Gold subscription and in every credential and cohort. Anyone with a Free 14-day trial can browse the step sequence in read-only mode; paying users unlock execution gates.
